Guru Gobind Singh Ji was the 10th Sikh Guru who is known for Kalsa Panth - a community of Sikhs and a special group of initiated Sikhs.
Guru Gobind Singh Ji was a warrior poet, and spiritual leader who is known for his ethics, qualities, strength, skills and many more. This year the Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti is celebrated on Jaunary 6, 2025 marks the birth anniversary.
He was born on December 22, 1666, in Patna, Bihar, as per the Nanakshahi Calendar. To celebrate Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s birth anniversary, Gurudwaras are decorated all over India, and people visit them to offer special prayers, Bhajans, and Kirtans.
The celebration includes Bhandaras for the needy people in all the gurudwaras throughout the day. It is a very auspicious day among the Sikh community.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born in Patna, Bihar, and at the age of nine, he succeeded his father Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
He became a guru at the age of nine and founded Khalsa in 1699 to encourage equality, courage, and service for the nation.
Gobind Singh Ji promoted values of equality his whole life and fought for injustice. He introduced the idea of Panj Pyare (Five Beloved Ones) or Five Ks.
Guru Gobind Singh Ji was a great writer and philosopher and his followers gathered his writings, pieces, and hymns in the Dasam Granth. He has a great legacy and ended the establishment of Human Gurus and made Guru Granth Sahib the everlasting Guru of Sikhism.
There is a great spiritual significance of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti for Sikhs and devotees to pray in gurudwars and remember the teachings of the Guru to pray and meditate.
The whole of India celebrated the Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti with pure hearts and called everyone for Nagar Kirtans. The spirit of seva, or unselfish service is great in the community which is one of the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
All the attendees will get a free langar or meal at the gurudwaras around the world regardless of their backgrounds.
