On the occasion of Independence Day, Delhi Institute of Digital Marketing (DIDM) is sending wishes to everyone to celebrate the 78th Independence Day of India.
This day marks a monumental occasion in our Nation's history as it is the end of British rule and 1947, which led to the birth of a free and independent India.
This day reflects pride and joy as we honor the sacrifices made by countless heroes who granted us the freedom that we have today.
When we talk about the journey and struggle for India's independence, it began long before 1947. The British rule in India by the East India Company began all over the country after they had the victory at the Battle of Plassey.
The Independence Movement of India gained momentum during World War 1 which is led by the strong spirit of Mahatma Gandhi who has a nonviolent philosophy that had great significance in our fight for freedom.
On August 15, 1947, the nation rose from the dawn of the British Raj which was a momentous achievement through the Indian Independence Act of July 18 of that year.
Independence Day in India is celebrated with great enthusiasm and solemnity. Everyone in our country takes part in the celebration in their own way. The celebration begins on this day with the hosting of our national flag at the Red Fort of Delhi followed by a 21-gun salute and singing of our nation's national anthem.
The prime minister of India delivers a speech and address to the nation to provide knowledge of the achievements of the past year and describe future goals.
The entire country celebrates the vibrant parades by the armed forces and police along with many cultural programs and patriotic activities organized by students in schools, colleges, and institutes. There are many activities and competitions organized like essay competitions, flag relays, patriotic songs, performances, kite flying, and all.
At DIDM, we celebrate this day with flag hosting to remember the historic milestone and pay tribute to the values of freedom and innovation that motivate us to drive forward.
This year, we are excited to be a part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign which is initiated by the prime minister who wants to encourage every Indian to voice to National flag at their homes and workplaces to foster a pure spirit of patriotism and national Pride.
Our celebration involves our students and the entire family of DIDM taking part in various activities from different branches. Our branches are adorned with tricolor decorations and members proudly wear attire in shades of saffron, white, and green.
